Measurement of Chery Xingyuan ET falling from a height of 32 meters

On May 6th, Chery’s high-end brand Xingtu held its first pure-electric/extended-range SUV Xingjiyuan ET aerial fall test, which was conducted in cooperation with China Automobile Information Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.. The test shows that Star Age ET performs well under extreme conditions, the A-pillar is not significantly bent, the B-pillar and C-pillar structures remain intact, and the doors are easily opened, which strongly proves its luxury concept of "safety first".

With the increasing popularity of new energy vehicles, consumers are still worried about battery safety, especially the fire hazard caused by collision, although their acceptance has increased. In this regard, Star Age ET publicly accepted the 31.9-meter high-altitude drop test through live broadcast, and directly hit the ground steel plate with the front of the car. The collision speed exceeded 90km/h, and the energy was 3.24 times that of the conventional test standard. The whole process was tense and transparent.

Meng Xianming, the chief expert of China Automotive Technology and Research Center, commented that the test conditions were harsh and the collision speed was higher than the conventional one, but Xingjiyuan ET successfully met the test requirements and verified its excellent safety performance.

Star Age ET lived up to expectations. After experiencing extreme challenges, the structure of the passenger compartment was stable, the door function was normal, the airbag bounced off at the right time, and the battery system showed high safety, without leakage, smoke or fire, which showed its profound connotation in many aspects of safety design.

In the end, this aerial fall challenge ended with the successful completion of ET in the Star Age. The front of the vehicle effectively absorbs the collision energy, and the structures of the A-pillar, the B-pillar and the C-pillar are kept in good condition, and the door can be opened even though it is slightly deformed, so as to ensure the smooth escape path of the passengers in an emergency. The airbag responded in time, and the battery system automatically cut off the high-voltage power supply after the impact, without any potential safety hazard, which fully demonstrated the breakthrough of domestic high-end new energy vehicles in the safety field and strengthened the brand belief that "safety is luxury". Chery Xingyuan ET dropped from 32 meters.
